FirstMotion is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping underprivileged children develop a mindset and habits that will enable them to live healthy, productive, and satisfying lives. We do this by providing training in martial arts, tutoring, and mentoring. Our main goal is to directly address: • Childhood Obesity • Poor Self Image • Gang Involvement • Violence • Poor Grades Who We Serve Our target population is 11 – 14 year old children in Western Washington State who are in underprivileged and/or foster homes. Our initial participants will need to be able to communicate in English. Race, religion, gender, and/or nationality will not be factors in the selection of participants.
